How you can contribute

Build worlds. The best way to help TheGates is to use it. Make a gate, share the URL, write about it. Every published world makes the 3D internet a little more real.

Make tutorials. Show others how to build, host, and ship gates. Videos, blog posts, and example projects save every new gate creator the hours you spent figuring it out.

Improve the docs. Spot a typo, a missing answer, or a confusing paragraph? Pull requests on the docs repo are always welcome.

Help with engine work. If you write C++ or know Godot’s internals, there’s plenty in the engine fork worth contributing to. Come say hi in Discord first. The codebase is a fork of Godot 4.5 and easier to navigate with a guide.

Be part of the community. Hang out on Discord, share your worlds, give feedback on what’s broken. The project is small. Active community members shape the direction more than they expect to.
